EU islands (iBioGen)
The iBioGen project is a recent EU-funded collaboration to use genomics techniques for the study of ‘hidden’ biodiversity of invertebrates and their fate in islands, to gain knowledge of these particularly vulnerable biotic communities. iBioGen will streamline field and lab based protocols and aim at standardisation of inventories across different islands and archipelagoes, with particular focus on Cyprus, the Aegean and the Canary Islands.
