Tianmu Mountains
Site name: Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve
Latitude/Longitude: E119°23′47′′–119°28′27′′, N30°18′30′′–30°24′55′′
The site lies in the southeast of China. As a famous site of high insect diversity, it has nearly 8000 insect species recorded and is the type locality of more than 700 species. The area is located in the northern margin of the mid-subtropical zone. The dominating vegetations are: evergreen broad-leaved forest below 870m; evergreen, deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest in 870–1100m; deciduous broad-leaved forest in 1100–1380m, deciduous dwarf forest in 1380–1506m.
